Download and install the demo versions of the plug-ins. We provide both portable zip archives as well as automated installers for Mac OS and Windows. You can download the plug-ins for your operating system of choice here.
I'm in search of a free de-esser plugin for my Mac running High Sierra and Cubase AI 9.5. I've tried installing the de-essers I know of (Lisp, Spitfish, MDA De-Esser), but all are 32-bit according to Cubase's VST manager. I can't seem to find any 64-b.
Our portable Windows installer contains additional executables: vc_redist.x86.exe and vc_redist.x64.exe which will install Microsoft Visual Studio runtime libraries on your computer. Use vc_redist.x86.exe if you are running a 32-bit version of Windows and vc_redist.x64.exe for 64-bit Windows. These runtime libraries are required if you use a Windows version prior to Microsoft Windows 10, if you have disabled automatic updates, or if your DAW is not connected to the internet. The automated installer does not require you to manually install the runtime libraries.
We keep a plug-in changelog here. Older versions of the installers are provided as well.

These folders are hidden by OS X. In order to navigate into these folders, hit Command+Shift+G from the Mac desktop (or Finder > Go > Go to Folder) and type in the path.

Make sure that you have also installed the visual studio runtime libraries (vc_redist.x86.exe and/or vc_redist.x64.exe) included in downloaded zip archive.
ToneBoosters provides demo versions of all plug-ins so you can trial and test the plug-ins prior to any purchase. Contrary to many other software vendors, ToneBoosters demo plug-ins have no time limit. Trial them as long as you want. The only limitation is that demo plug-ins will not save settings, and you will be reminded about plugins running in demo mode when opening the user interface.

If you used the automatic installer in the past, simply download the latest plug-in installer and run it to update the plug-ins. This process will update both demo and registered plug-ins.
If you have installed plug-ins manually previously, download the portable zip archive and replace the plug-ins in that archive with the plug-ins on your computer. Make sure not to accidentally delete any registration key files. Portable zip archives and installers are available here.
Make sure your Mac satisfies the minimum system requirements (available on our download page). In addition, some versions of macOS require a restart of your Mac before hosts like Logic Pro X can detect newly installed plug-ins.

Yes you can. You can download portable zip archives with all plugins on our changelog page. We do however strongly recommend to use the automatic installer. Portable zip archives are provided for IT experts and system managers.
Purchase a license in our online shop. All purchases will be handled by our authorized reseller 2Checkout (formerly known as Avangate). After a successful purchase, you'll receive an email from our reseller with the required information to register the plug-in. If you have not received that email, please check your email spam box. I downloaded a registration key file. What's next?
Firstly make sure you have downloaded and installed the demo plug-ins and ensure they are up and running on your computer. If you downloaded a purchased registration key file, copy that file (which has the *.key extension) in the exact same folder where the corresponding plug-in was installed. E.g. on a Windows computer you should see the following two files in that folder:
TB_plug-inName_v3.dll
TB_plug-inName.key
On a Mac, you'll need to copy the key file into both the Audio Units and VST folders:
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
If you haven't already done so, install the free demo plugins first. Run your host program of choice, and configure it to show up the ToneBoosters plugins. Open the plugin user interface to enter the email you used to purchase a license, and the activation code received by email. If all information is entered correctly, the plugin should report back that a valid license has been installed on your computer.
ToneBoosters always recommends to make backups of registration key files and activation codes. In case you did not make such backup, or your backup got lost, contact us to request a replacement key file. Please include at least your name, registered email address and order number in any communication.

Some host programs do not pass on copy/paste commands to plugins (Reaper on macOS, and others). To resolve this in Reaper, open the plugin, right-click on the plugin in the list of active plugins that is left of the actual plugin, and select 'Send all keyboard input to plugin'. Subsequently you can use command-c to copy the activation code (from your email), and command-v to paste it into the plugin field.
Plug-in licenses acquired through our on-line shop are valid for PC (Windows) and Mac (OS X) only and are not compatible with iOS or Android versions of ToneBoosters plug-ins.
The number of combinations of host program, plug-in version, computer system and operating system are virtually endless. ToneBoosters plug-ins are designed to work with virtually any host program that supports VST or Audio Unit plug-ins. To ensure that the plug-ins work properly on your computer prior to purchasing, please install the demo plug-ins and give them a test drive. Apple Final Cut Pro X is not compatible with ToneBoosters v3 plug-ins.
Yes! Barricade 4, Enhancer, Equalizer 4, Morphit, ReelBus 4 and Reverb 4 are provided as native 64-bit AAX plug-ins for Avid Pro Tools 11 and up (64 bits). Version 3 (TrackEssentials, BusTools) plugins are however not compatible with Pro Tools.
The system requirements are listed here. In addition, for Windows your computer and graphics card must support DirectDraw hardware acceleration and DirectDraw hardware acceleration must be enabled.

If you have purchased ToneBoosters licenses prior to 2015, European privacy laws prevent us from sharing your license information with 3rd parties. As a result those licenses will not show up in your reseller account. Contact us if you need any support with such licenses. In addition, NFR, demo and transferred licenses will not show up in a reseller account either.
If you experience any issues with purchasing ToneBoosters plug-ins, please contact us. Make sure to always include your name, the email address for your purchase, and your order number. Without that information we will not be able to help you!
If you experience any technical issues during plug-in installation or use, please follow the detailed steps outlined in the plug-in Installation Manual prior to contacting us. If you do need our support, please use the contact form on this page instead of sending emails. Note that we are based in Australia and due to time zone differences, a response to your request might be delayed.
Please read the end-user license agreement (EULA) that you agreed upon when installing ToneBoosters software very carefully. Not all licenses qualify for transfer.
A license can only be transferred after payment of the applicable transfer administration fee of EUR 25,=, AND after ToneBoosters has received all required information for a license transfer, which includes as a bare minimum:
- The full name and the registered email address of the current licensee;
- The full name and a valid email address of the new licensee;
- The name of the product to be transferred from the current to the new licensee.
